Welcome to The Aracoma Story Inc.!


For over 50 years, The Aracoma Story Inc. has been providing cultural enrichment to Logan and the surrounding areas. Founded in 1975, when under the leadership of Anna L. O'Briant, the Bicentennial Commission appointed Liz Spurlock and Pleasant Lohn to bring "The Aracoma Story" back to the stage The Aracoma Story Inc. is a nonprofit theatrical company dedicated to providing educational and entertaining productions to the local community.


With several productions each year, The Aracoma Story Inc. offers something for everyone. From classic Broadway musicals to one-act comedies, we provide shows that are sure to bring the whole family together. Our performances range from large-scale productions at local theater venues such as the Liz Spurlock Amphitheatre and the Coalfield Jamboree to living-history reenactments in the heart of Chief Logan State Park and intimate dinner shows at Logan Country Club.

Our mission is to make theater accessible and enjoyable to everyone in our community. We foster an inclusive environment where all are welcome, regardless of experience or skill level. We strive to create a memorable theatrical experience for our audiences and our participants alike.
